
General teaching guidelines
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the Portuguese language (focus on Brazil). Of central importance is the learning and master of tenses and their appropriate use, simple syntactical structures and a common basic vocabulary.
Besides the introduction into the grammar, the course will place a strong emphasis on communication skills in an everyday context in Brazil. Students practice simple language skills, translation, and text comprehension.
Entry level
No prior knowledge required. This is a beginner's course, which requires the willingness to study independently (at least 2 hours per week).
Target level
The examination corresponds to Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
